It's the season of giving, and as the year draws to a close, Netflix isn't done with giving us brand new content yet - with plenty more up their sleeves for December.

This festive season sees a number of major new film releases on the streamer, including Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, Maestro and Rebel Moon Part One: A Child of Fire.

Of course, there are also big series coming up too, with the final episodes of The Crown set to arrive, as well as animated Star Trek series Star Trek: Prodigy.

Meanwhile, there's a host of stand-up specials coming up, including one from Trevor Noah and another from Ricky Gervais.

The biggest new releases arriving on Netflix this week include Bad Surgeon: Love Under the Knife, Obliterated and Family Switch.

  • Bad Surgeon: Love Under the Knife season 1 – Docuseries about disgraced surgeon Paolo Macchiarini.
  • Family Switch (2023) – Body-switching Christmas comedy film starring Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms.
  • Obliterated season 1 – Action comedy-drama series about an elite team who get drunk after stopping a bomb threat, but find it was fake - so must neutralise the real bomb while drunk.

Last month on Netflix also saw a host of big new releases, with series and films such as All the Light We Cannot See, Robbie Williams, The Killer, The Crown season 6 part 1 and Squid Game: The Challenge being added to the service.
